You are impacting 4,980 youth!

Over the last 4 weeks our teams in Nepal, Philippines and Kenya have been traveling and serving incredible young leaders through our trainings. They have been to various areas in their countries and have trained over 249 youth leaders, who from our estimates will be impacting 4,980 youth per year

All of this happens due to your prayers and support. Thank you for continuing to walk with us all at GYMN in your support and prayers to insure our teams can continue to minister globally.

Nepal and Hong Kong Trip in Review

Hong Kong Level 1

I returned home from my Nepal and Hong Kong trip last night. Here is a brief summary along with some picutes. Thank you for your prayers and support.

In Nepal, GYMN had 19 leaders at the Level 2 training.  We also held a Summit where 25 attend (with a guest from Bhutan). Some leaders traveled 18 hours for the summit!

This is our first ever training in Hong Kong. GYMN trained 45 leaders in the Level 1 seminar. These leaders are in the middle of the city of Hong Kong that inhabits over 7,000,000 people. They are also strategically located to reach into mainland China that inhabits over 1.3 billion people (about 1/5 of the world’s population)! The leaders here in Hong Kong have said they have never had a proper training like this, that in the past all of their conference were preaching based, which were helpful, but did not provide them with an on-going plan/strategy for practical steps in their church-wide ministries.

ASIA TOUR

Your prayers and support make a real difference in the lives of youth around the world. I have seen this first hand for over 16 years of traveling around the world.

I will be traveling soon to partner with our staff in Nepal as we work together to inspire youth ministry leaders in Asia. (Departing Jan. 31st and returning Feb. 14th).

The first week will be a key Level 2 training in Kathmandu, Nepal. We will get to hear the details of what has been happening in their ministry since the training they received last year. It will also be a time to further train them and allow them to learn from one another. Time after time I am inspired by how many young people have come to Christ through the ministry of these leaders in just one year!

After this training we will gather for the first ever Nepal Global Youth Ministry Network Summit! Here we are gathering the the staff, the volunteers and key pastors and church hosts. This will be time of reflection on all that God has been doing and a time to envision and plan for the years ahead.

What is incredibly exciting is not only the great work happening in Nepal through our teams, but the opportunities to go to “all the nations” in the region. We will be praying for and planning for work to continue or start in the following locations as well: Bhutan, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, India, Bangladesh and Hong Kong (with possible in-roads into mainland China)

Once Jomesh and I finish up in Nepal, we will be heading to Hong Kong where he has arranged a training with over 30 local Nepali churches based in Hong Kong. This will be our first ever training in Hong Kong!

You can see that this will be a busy two weeks so if you could please pray specifically and regularly for our strength: Physical, emotional and especially spiritual, it would be deeply appreciated. Also please pray for my family (Penny and Levi) as well as I travel.

Feel free to follow along on FaceBook and on Twitter

Your hand to the nations!
